I was chatting with a gentlemen who came to our Calgary show last week and he was telling me about his adventures in the military and in other  pursuits.  In the course of our conversation, I asked him what was his scariest moment.  There was an obvious answer to the question, but he declined to tell me about it at the time and we went on to other things.  Then, just last night, I received a long email with the story of an ambush in Bhagdad told in the most harrowing detail.

Each life is painted with all the colours of the palette, not all at the same time, but eventually all of them are used.  We all know joy, sorrow and fear.  So, I want to know, if you have a story of a situation where you really thought this might be it, or were surprised by the turn of events or had a slow knawing fear that permeated your days… can you tell me?  If you want to share please email me privately at paisley@paisleyjura.com.  I won’t post your story (unless you want me to), but it will sit in my heart and weave its way into the fabric of my being, and maybe someday find its way into a song.  Thank you.
